The way i look at art

IMHO, art is just this, any kind of art...

Capturing a moment of your life, a place you see, a place you imagine, one interesting situation, an object; Anything that is interesting, intriguing, fun. AND showing that moment in the most beautiful way possible. For example, a photograph would mostly take a photo of an interesting place, edit the photo and then publish it so our little dA community can admire they're work. Now another thing that moment has to have, is a meaning. Art is way more interesting when it makes you think. When it makes you ask questions like "What did the artist want to say with this?", "What does it mean to him?" and even more important "What does it mean to YOU?". Now we have a beautiful moment, with a deep meaning attached to it, but that's not it. You need to understand the concept of beauty in art, for that you need experience, education, advice and feedback. That's where dA comes in, this is why it's important in an artist's life.


Now here i was talking about the true PIECES that are the pride and joy of your gallery, not the day-to-day sketches and stuff. Make them to gain experience, so you can make more art.
